As budgets increase, so does the complexity of the work that CIOs are tasked with. In a recent survey of 2,203 CIOs from 81 countries, Gartner found that IT budgets are set to increase by 5.1% globally in 2023. Most of the surveyed CIOs stressed the importance of investing in operational excellence and customer experience, and they plan to continue increasing investment in cyber security, business intelligence/data analytics, and cloud platforms.
