Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Network Operations Center Engineer for our client, a leading Investment Bank located at Shanghai, China.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactive network monitoring for the Global Network Devices and circuits
- To investigate the alerts and provide timely resolution
- Triage the network incidents, and adhering to the defined SLA
- To follow up with carriers and Vendors to investigate on going issues and resolving them
- Pre Market open bridge and other network checkouts.
- Handling user calls and escalating to the leads as needed
- To ensure routine follow up with clients / Vendors via e-mails, phone calls or chat
- To perform the carrier route testing for the network communication device
- Perform Break-fix changes.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a network engineer with strong troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of network connectivity and various network and routing protocols – LAN, WAN, MAN, BGP. OSPF, TCP, HSRP, VTP, STP, DHCP, DNS, Wifi etc.
- Technical experience working on any of the following: Cisco Routers & Switches, Nexus, ASR product lines, Juniper and PaloAlto firewalls, Aruba Wi-Fi controllers
- Highly self-motivated and the ability to work independently as well as in a global team environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
